Victorian 1870 Antique Carved Prie Dieu Prayer Kneeler
A wonderful 1870 era "Prie Dieu" or prayer kneeler was hand carved of solid walnut.
The original finish has some wear and mars and is very well preserved. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm antique patina.
Saddle leather upholstery has brass nailheads. Under a lift lid is a compartment for prayer books on this picturesque historic furniture.
Size is 22" wide, 22" deep and 34" tall.
