Victorian Carved Rosewood 1865 Antique Sofa, Floral Crest

Hand carved of genuine rosewood about 1865, this Victorian period sofa has a wonderful deeply sculpted floral crest.

Gracefully curved all around, the frame has a very fine finish and is strong and durable. This American made antique furniture has old but elegant upholstery and is very deep and comfortable.

We have not attempted to clean the fabric, there are spots and fading, especially on the back side, see photos. As is typical, there is slight flexion to the back, it could be glued when it is next reupholstered. Old brass wheels are removable if desired.

Measurements are 81" long, 36" deep, 41" tall and the seat is 17" high.
