Victorian Eastlake 1880 Antique Bustle Bench or Photographer Chair

This late Victorian or Eastlake seat from about 1880 was called a "bustle bench" because it flattered a woman in a large skirt, and was also favored by studio photographers as a very flexible portrait prop.

Hand carved of solid walnut with burl panels, the well preserved finish has warm antique patina. Genuine hand stitched wool needlepoint upholstery is nostalgic, bordered in velvet. Porcelain wheels are original on this American made furniture.

Measurements are 36" wide, 26" deep, 35" tall and the seat is 18" high.
