A late Victorian or Eastlake period desk from about 1880 has burl panels and original brass pulls. This solid walnut desk has delicate incised carving and raised fluted panels are characteristic of the era.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library furniture. There are various restorations including worn drawer sides, the center drawer is rebuilt.
Both banks of drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, there are shrinkage separations from age, see photos. The natural saddle leather top is new.
Size is 58" wide, 30" deep and 30" tall, the knee hole is 24" wide and 25" tall.
