Victorian Eastlake Quarter Sawn Oak 1880 Antique 2 Pc. Queen Size Bedroom Set

A late Victorian or Eastlake period 2 piece bedroom set from about 1880 is solid quarter sawn oak and includes a queen size bed and marble top chest or dresser with mirror.

The restored deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture, which has the delicate incised carving characteristic of the era. Raised panels are beautiful.

Expertly adapted to fit a standard queen size mattress, the bed includes wooden support cross pieces as shown. The demonstrator queen size mattress and spring unit in photos are 18" thick together. Measurements are 67" wide, 87" long, the headboard is 71" tall and the footboard is 30" high.

The chest has a swivel beveled mirror with a little "smoke" to show its age. The original marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Drawers have dovetailed joints and embossed brass hardware of the era. Size is 44" wide, 20" deep and 75" tall.
