Victorian Gilbert Steamer Oak Clock

This Victorian oak clock with a "press" carved face has its original label on the back, signed "Steamer" model by famous "Gilbert Clock Co of Winstead, Connecticut."

The case has a fine golden finish, the reverse design on the wavy glass door and embossed pendulum are original from about 1895. There is discoloration to the original dial. It has been cleaned and oiled.

The 8 day brass movement runs well, striking the hour and half. Size of this antique is 15" wide, 4 1/2" deep, and 25" tall.
