Waterbury Kent Open Escapement Antique 1898 Mantel Clock

Signed by famous Connecticut maker, "Waterbury," this elegant "Kent" model mantel clock is engraved "Pat. Sept., 1898."

The brass 6 day movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled, it keeps excellent time and strikes the hour and half. The signed porcelain dial has an exposed escapement, there is damage around the "12," see photos. Solid brass feet and the beveled glass bezel are original.

The carved mahogany case has its original well preserved finish, there is some antique crazing or crackling from age.

Measurements of this superior timepiece are 18" wide, 5" deep and 10" tall.
