WW II Vintage US Navy No. 5 Ship Floating Compass
Signed "US Navy Bureau of Ships No. 5 Compass, John Hand & Sons," this World War II vintage ship's compass is marked "fore" and "aft."
Floating in liquid, it is adjusted with movable compensating balls on each side to adjust for magnetic steel on a boat.
This heavy nautical instrument measures 8" across and 5" tall.
