Cherry 1830 Antique New England Poster Full Size Bed

A classic New England rope bed from about 1830 has solid cherry posts and pine sides with holes to string a rope "spring." Adapted to fit a standard modern full or double size mattress as shown, this historic furniture has a lustrous finish in excellent condition with warm antique patina and just enough mars and wear for character.

A wooden "pallet" or "toile" upholstered board is furnished with the bed along with slats to support bedding. Photos show a 13" tall mattress, this well proportioned bed might be more authentic with a thinner mattress. Overall dimensions of this marvelous American made bed are 56" wide, 84" long and 7' tall.
