Carved Chinese Camphor Trunk or Chest, Coffee Table

A traditional Chinese hand carved trunk or chest from about 75 years ago would make a nice coffee table, perhaps with a glass top. The camphor wood repels insects, this is the Asian equivalent of a cedar chest.

Deeply hand carved on every side with with carved ship scenes this is a work of art. Paw feet are original, as is the engraved brass hardware.

The finish is very fine on this opulent furniture, size is 36" long, 19" deep and 19" tall.
