Reuge Sublime Harmony Marquetry Music Box, 5 Cylinders, 20 Songs

Signed by the most famous music box maker in Switzerland, "Reuge of Sainte Croix," a magnificent marquetry music box has five interchangeable cylinders that play 20 songs altogether.

In pristine condition, this lovely player works perfectly. The jeweled mechanism is almost silent, there are two "combs" and a lever wind. A dazzling inlaid walnut burl and tulipwood banded case is brilliantly polished. The lower drawer holds the other four cylinders.

Only a few years old, gold plated keys work the locks of this mechanical marvel. A card under the lid lists the tunes, see photos. Shimmering silvery tones are wonderful on this musical instrument.

Case size is 29" long, 15" deep and 11" tall. The original Swiss wooden shipping crate is included if desired.
