A Victorian era book press from about 1880 is cast iron with an original finish and maker's monogram.
The wheel turns a giant screw to flatten books after they were sewn together.
This American made publishing or printer's antique is 17" wide, 12" deep and 14" tall when screwed down. Books up to just over 10" x 12" fit this press.
