Italian 1935 Art Deco King Size Bed & Nightstands, Bedroom Set

A magnificent Art Deco period king size bed and matching nightstands set was expertly crafted in northern Italy about 1935. Matched rosewood and walnut burl has a superb satiny finish with ebonized accents. There are minor mars at the edges for antique character, see photos.

Nickel and bakelite hardware and mounts are original, the flame shaped finial is hand carved.

This dramatic bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern king size mattress and spring unit, together measuring 16" thick as shown. Cross slats with center legs for support are included.

A pair of free standing round nightstands or bedside tables are 20" diameter and 22" tall.

The bed is 8' 6" wide, with the nightstands placed in curved niches as shown, total width is 10' 4." Length is 8' 3," the headboard is 49" tall and the footboard is 25" high.
