Georgian Style Tall Chest on Chest with Desk, signed Banks, Coldstone

Hand crafted and signed "Banks, Coldstone of High Point, NC," this tall chest on chest with pull out desk is about 40 years old.

An exact copy of an 18th Century Georgian original, this splendid chest is mahogany with an inlaid medallion and banding plus a delicately carved crown.

The original finish is very well preserved on this fine vintage furniture. Drawers have solid oak sides with traditional hand cut dovetail joints.

The pull out desk is at standing or stool height, 37" high, inside are tiny maple drawers. The gold tooled leather writing surface is cracked where it hinges to close, see photos.

Two separate pieces for easier moving, size is 46" wide, 23" deep and 79" tall.
