Chinese Lacquer Antique 1890's Tea Hopper Box

A large wooden hopper or box was made to sell bulk tea and has a tin liner. The original hand painting on a black lacquer background is very worn, edges show a century of wear on this Chinese antique from around 1890, protected with a coat of satin lacquer.

Hand engraved brass hardware is original on this historic grocery store furniture.

Size is 20 1/2" wide, 17" deep and 25" tall.
