Art Deco Waterfall 5 Pc. Queen Size 1940 Vintage Bedroom Set, Bakelite Pulls
An Art Deco period 1940 era five piece bedroom set includes a queen size bed, tall chest, dressing table with mirror and bench plus a nightstand.
The finish is in excellent condition on shimmering matched mahogany and walnut with burl panels and inlaid banding. Hardware has original bakelite inserts. Drawers have dovetailed joints on this American made vintage furniture.
The bed has been adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress and spring unit, see photos with demonstrator bedding. Wood support slats underneath are included. Size is 63 1/2" wide, 89" long, the headboard is 52" tall and the footboard is 22" high.
The tall chest measures 33" wide, 20" deep and 58" tall.
A dressing table or vanity is 48" wide, 20" deep and 70" tall. The original beveled mirror is reverse etched and, along with the gold mosaic mirror pieces, has a little antique "smoke" in to show their age.
Recently upholstered, the bench is 25" wide, 17" deep, 28" tall and the seat is 16" high.
Nightstand size is 16" wide, 15" deep and 27" tall. Drawer doesn't open, it is open space above the door.
