Richly carved in the Regency manner, this 1940's vintage dining set comprises a table with two leaves and six chairs, all newly upholstered. The finish is in excellent condition everywhere on figured mahogany and maple, the tabletop is gorgeous matched curly mahogany with elm burl banding.
There are subtle bronze gold accents on this American made vintage furniture, no maker's signature survives.
The table has center legs for extra support when extended, two 17" wide leaves have original skirts or aprons. Size is 42" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 25 1/2" underneath and length when closed is 62" and with both leaves in place, length is 8' 10" overall.
Chairs are wide and comfortable, reglued to be durable for another generation. Two arm chairs measure 25" wide, 23" deep, 39" tall and seats are 19" high, four side chairs are 20" wide, 22" deep and 39" tall.
