A ship's sextant from the early 1900's is signed "Hezzanith Instrument Works, London," and carries a calibration inspection dated "Feb. 27, 1952." Engraved "Endless Tangent Screw, Automatic Clamp," this nautical antique from England has numerous scopes and attachments.
We are not ocean sailors, and cannot guarantee this finely machined brass naval instrument to be either complete or operational.
The solid mahogany case has "finger" dovetails and has wear to the finish and a shrinkage separation from age, see photos. The case is 11" x 11" and 5 1/2" tall.
