Victorian Lion Carved 1900 Antique Oak Chaise Lounge or Psychiatrist Couch

This style of Victorian 1890's chaise lounge was made famous by Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. Custom tufted upholstery in faux leather is recent and unworn.

The oak frame is carved with griffin or stylized lions with paw feet. The old finish is very fine and has been waxed and buffed, there is a shrinkage separation from age that is not structural, see photos.

American made antique furniture, size is 31" wide, 76" long, 16" tall at the foot and 27" tall at the head.
