A grand piano from 1947 is signed by famous maker, "Knabe of Baltimore, Since 1837." The figured mahogany case has an original finish that is very well preserved with warm patina and various touchups over the years.
This musical instrument is in beautiful playing condition, and has been tuned. Genuine ivory keys are original and in good condition with a few chips and shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
The tone and feel is what is expected from this respected America's maker. The soundboard is in very fine condition, displaying the original Knabe crest. The actions is limber and easy to play. Bass strings would ring with more resonance if replaced, this decision is up to the buyer and their piano tech.
Piano dimensions are 56" wide, 38" tall and 61" long when closed.
The similar bench has music storage under the seat, which is newly upholstered. Legs have brass feet and size is 33" long, 13" deep and 18 1/2" tall.
