John Boos Signed Maple Butcher Chopping Block Kitchen Island Wine & Cheese Table

A solid maple butcher's chopping block from about 60 years ago was signed by "John Boos Mfg., Effingham, Ill," still in business since 1887.

Useful as a small kitchen island or wine and cheese tasting table, the top is treated with food safe mineral oil. The rest of the finish is restored, preserving just enough stains and mars for a little antique character. Every block of hard maple has interlocking dovetail joints. Turned legs are well proportioned on this vintage kitchen furniture.

Measurements are 24" x 18" and 36" tall.
