Walnut 1880 French Bar or Dining Room Cabinet, Hand Carved Lions & Heads

Richly hand sculpted in France about 1880, this palatial bar or dining room cabinet is all original.

The wax finish is very well preserved and has been buffed and polished, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are minor stains on the top for a little antique character.

Side panels are raised. Hand carved lion heads and faces on the feet are artistic. The key operates a double throw lock for the doors and a center lock for the drawers, which have hand cut dovetail joints and wrought iron pulls. Rear feet are different.

Measurements are 52 1/2" wide, 23" deep and 57" tall.
