Country Pine 1860's Antique Farmhouse Dough Box or Proofing Cupboard

A country pine "dough box" or proofing cupboard has a compartment under the lid for allowing bread dough to rise.

The restored finish is in excellent condition with warm patina, preserving lots of stains, mars and losses for antique character. There are square nails and hand cut corner dovetail joints on this American made farmhouse furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, doors have chamfered panels.

Measurements are 43" wide, 19" deep and 36" tall.
