Made as a mail sorting table for the Post Office about 1910, this oak antique makes an interesting wine rack with a sampling and appetizer serving table below.
The restored finish is in very fine condition, preserving lots of dings, shrinkage separations from age and holes for antique character. Crafted of oak, the table top is maple and the back panel is masonite, with a punched hole near the top.
There is a drawer plus a hook below the table for a mail bag on this American made furniture, salvaged from a Minnesota post office. The cubicle section is removable and legs detach from the table as well.
Compartments are 5 1/4" wide, 5" high and 8 1/2" deep. Overall measurements are 6' wide, 26" deep, 75 1/2" tall and the base table is 28 1/2" high.
