From the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1890, this reed or "pump" organ has a bank of faux pipes above. Carved of solid quarter sawn oak, the hand painted organ pipes are decorative only, the sound comes from brass reeds inside the case.
The finish is in very fine condition, with various touchups over the years. Signed "Queen Organ," this American made antique musical instrument plays very well, the bellows are sound. Some original bakelite keys are discolored.
There are a few dings to the pipes plus stains on the felted candle stands, see photos. For easier moving, the upper section is removable and there are handles on both sides.
Dimensions are 49" wide, 24" deep and 95" tall.
