On Armory Hill Original Oil Painting, 1930 Vintage, signed Jack Gage Stark

"On Armory Hill" is an original oil painting on canvas, signed by Jack Gage Stark, 1882-1950.

The artist was born in Missouri and left to study for seven years in Paris in 1900. Famed for his soft colors and loose brushwork, his works of art are in museums and collections around the country.

This work of art was exhibited at the San Diego Museum of Art and the Museum of Santa Barbara in California, and loaned to the U. S. Dept of State for its Art in Embassies program. There is a modern back that we have not disassembled or inspected the back of the canvas.

The frame is burnished gold over red ocher.

Overall size is 36" wide, 31" tall and 2" deep.
