Victorian 1900 Antique Press Carved Oak Shelf or Mantel Clock #29412

An American made antique Victorian period shelf or mantel clock from about 1900 has a solid oak case with "press carving." The brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding, striking the half hour and counting the hour on a gong.

Original wavy glass has a reverse painted design in gold, the embossed pendulum is original. The maker is unknown, the original label on the back is missing.

The original finish is very well preserved, waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Size is 15" wide, 5" deep and 22" tall.
