An exceptional "Morris" recliner chair from the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period about 1905 has been newly upholstered in leather with brass nailhead trim.
There is a pull out magazine rack with a leather footrest. A push button on the arm adjusts the back tilt to six positions. The brass signature plate reads "Royal Easy Chair of Sturgis, MI." An original shipping label to Decatur, IL is under the footrest.
Solid quarter sawn oak, the restored deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique Craftsman furniture.
Dimensions are 29" wide, 34" deep when upright, 58" deep reclined with the footrest extended, 38" tall and the seat is 15" high.
