A charming screen to set on the hearth in front of a fireplace when not in use, this antique from about 1910 has a hand painted musical courting scene with a cherub in a garden. The signature plate reads "FBM Co, Hoboken, NJ."
All original, the maple frame and handle have a finish in very good condition with a few mars and wear for a little character. The muted shades of the painting on oilcloth has a "crackled" antique finish and a few dents, see photos. There is minor wear at the edges, which have brass nail head trim.
Size is 38" wide, 14" deep and 37" tall.
