French Art Deco Antique Marble Clock, Kissing Couple Sculpture #31698

A spectacular Art Deco period marble clock from about 1925 has a sculpture of a kissing couple. The patinated cast metal statue has touchups to the original patina. Black Italian "Nero Portoro" marble joins other colors on the dramatic pedestal. There are minor flakes at the edges.

The clock keeps accurate time for a week on a winding and counts half hour and on the hour with a bell strike. A beveled and shaped glass door has a nickel frame. The nickel dial has hand painted numerals.

Size is 27 1/2"wide, 18" tall, 9 1/2" deep.
