A pair of solid birch hardwood armchairs was made for a Milwaukee bank about 1910. One is very slightly taller and has buttons under the arms, see photos. Some of this batch of chairs still has their original maker's labels underneath, "Sikes Co. of Buffalo, NY."
The deep rich restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique office or library furniture. Frames are reglued to be tight and strong for another generation. The sculpted seat, curved back and shaped lumbar spindles are very comfortable.
Measurements are 25" wide, 24" deep, 31" tall and seats are 17 1/2" high and 17" deep.
