Tete a Tete Antique 1895 Double Chair S Shape Sofa, Recent Upholstery #33075

A "Tete-a-Tete," French for "head to head," is an "S" shaped sofa for two people to talk privately while observing the action in all directions, and these were often seen in ballrooms. This English example was hand carved of solid mahogany in the 1890's.

The restored finish is in very fine condition. Recent upholstery is clean and unworn. Springs are soft and comfortable on this antique furniture. The gracefully curved frame is tight and strong with various restorations over the years.

Measurements are 50" long, 24" deep, 25" tall and the seats are 15" high.
