A picturesque hand-carved pine armoire from the Kingdom of Bavaria, now Germany, has original hand painting and a secret compartment, dating from 1700. The door has an original hand-wrought open lock and giant key that still works.

The folk-art painting has significant wear and has been preserved with clear varnish. Doors have original dovetailed reinforcements on the interior.

Hand wrought iron hardware is chased and engraved, like armor or guns of the same era. There are square cut nails on this antique German furniture.

Measurements are 55" wide, 18" deep, and 70" tall.
