Made for the Door Country Wisconsin courthouse about 1900, this solid oak 24 drawer file cabinet has a roll top and is signed by "Globe of Cincinnati, Ohio," the famous maker of stacking lawyer bookcases.
The original finish has been preserved with clear varnish on this antique office or library furniture.
Drawers have original brass pulls and label holders, the signed pushers inside are adjustable. Interior size is 4 1/2" wide, 10" tall and 11" deep, made for court documents. A few court records are still in the bottom right drawer.
Photos show either a wood or cardboard insert that could replace the pusher, and hold standard letter files.
Overall size is 22" wide, 19" deep and 81 1/2" tall.
