Country French or Provincial Antique 1760 Armoire

This Country French Provincial armoire was hand-made about 1760 of solid oak and chestnut. The skillful carving is beautiful, every surface is hand planed and chamfered. Authentic antique furniture secured with wooden pegs, there is a drawer at the base.

A lustrous deep brown, the finish is excellent, with the beautiful patina of centuries past. The interior has been painted and has holes for wires, it could be fitted with shelves or a closet pole if desired.

Door and side panels are raised on this historic 18th Century armoire. Hardware is hand wrought, but the lock does not operate. Stable and solid, dimensions are 5' wide, 24" deep and 6'5" tall.
