This classic wall "Regulator" clock is signed by famous American maker, "Waterbury of Connecticut," and has the original oak case and wavy glass door. The brass 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and regulated, it keeps accurate time.
This silent "Regulator" clock would have been used in a jewelry store to regulate clocks and watches, some were also used where an hour strike would be disturbing - churches, banks or schools.
The carved oak case has a very fine finish. Reverse painting on the glass appears retouched, the original dial is signed.
An American antique from about 1895, dimensions are 16" wide, 5" deep and 34" tall.
