Country Pine Trunk or Chest, Coffee Table

Hand-made about 1880, this country pine trunk or chest would make a marvelous rustic coffee table.

Ruggedly crafted probably for a carpenter's tools, the finish is very fine. Hand-planed pine planks are joined at the corners with expertly hand-cut dovetail joints.

There is warm golden patina and just enough character - mars and stains - to show its age. Size of this Wisconsin antique furniture is 56" long, 32" wide and 19 1/2" tall.
